Friends and I rode motorcycles through Death Valley late last July. Left Ridgecrest at about 4:30 a.m. I have a picture at the Furnace Creek Chevron with the clock and thermometer in the same picture showing the temperature at 110 degrees at 7:10 a.m. Didn't seem too bad as long as we were moving, but we high tailed it to higher ground before it got much hotter.
