Jerry found the 1849 inscription in Nye Canyon. It had been known for many years but not recently visited by "outsiders."
He also "found" an inscription purportedly pecked by Erkson in November 1849. This is in Shoal Canyon, southwestern Utah. There is no question in my mind this is a bogus one.
We had guides when we toured the atomic bomb testing range. Jerry had no guide when he penetrated the secure area. He did most of his hiking at night. LeRoy
